One day, Alfred reads in his nespaper about countries without water, where animals die of thirst.
This cannot be!
Alfred decides to dig a channel, an aquaduct to provide water for all animals in need.
He therefore needs help from Henk the groundhog. Henk himself will need 88 pieces of gold to pay work, tools and material for building this channel. Alfred prepares for hard work, in order too earn that much money. But the king of Alfreds country "Great-Waterland", a lazy, selfish emperor, borrows the very money, Alfred needs to fulfill his plans. "I pay it back", the king promises. But he's also got a bad memory...
After six month's without any notice from the king, the brave duck decides to march towards the king's palace and get his money back. On his way Alfred meets the Fox, his friend Long Ladder, the poor Polluted Creek and a swarm of Bees. They all accompany him on his way to the king. Fortunately!
Alfred will well need the help of his friends...
